I Paint Without Any Sketches To Get Surreal And Spontaneous Results

My paintings are usually quite “Post-impressionistic” in style. Recently they have become a lot more abstract, surreal and spontaneous. This is a work from 2015 entitled Perch Perfect.

I use my own studio-made oil mediums that I combine with a little egg tempera to achieve a wonderful textural quality in the paint.
