Have you ever wondered what animals would look like with no necks? No? Well, too bad, because this Instagram user Chase from the United States has gathered these hilariously adorable photos of animals without necks. These pictures are bound to raise your spirits and make your day at least a little better.

The longer you look at the pics, the funnier and more ridiculous they look. Some animals even seem more adorable than before.

Chase told Bored Panda what inspired him to create this project: "On New Year’s Eve in 2013, I was bored and then this just happened. I’d come across edits of animals without necks before and found them way too funny."

Chase told us where he got the pictures from: "Some pictures are collected from the internet, some I created, and some are submissions from friends." He said that he created this project out of pure boredom: "I was originally just followed by my friends and family—I never thought so many other people would find the account!"

It's easy to see what's different about these animals—they don't have necks. Who would have thought that not having a neck would change their look so much? They look much more adorable and sweet. Although there are some that look kinda... creepy.

Chase said he enjoys what he does and that this type of humor is exactly for him: "I will never not think that the no-neck animals are hilarious." He also shared what animals he sees edited most often and what he would like to see more of: "I'd say the giraffe gets its neck removed most often, which isn't too surprising. I'm dying to see the no-neck quokka. I've tried to create it myself but animals without much of a neck, to begin with, are surprisingly difficult to photoshop."

Chase said that he isn't that good at Photoshop, so it takes him a long time to create these images when he does create them. He shares that his favorite one to create was the no-neck goat he created on March 8, 2019: "That goat is chilling. The giraffes are great, too, of course."

Chase told us more about himself. He said that he's a math Ph.D. student and he spends his free time skateboarding and playing ultimate frisbee.
