As an artist I am inspired by everything around me and sometimes the people around me. Recently that inspiration was right outside my front door. A neighbor who would ride past my home on her bicycle with her two little dogs in tow, caught my eye one day. She just looked very content, confident and always had some music playing on a little radio in her basket. I thought “Now that’s the way to be..just happy..music playing…giving the dogs a good walk. Just being yourself and not caring about the curlers in your hair.” It was just such a Norman Rockwell kinda image to me so I decided to recreate what I saw with stained glass mosaic but put her in one of my favorite places to be, on the beach. I titled the piece, “The Good Life” (West of Missouri)

Silver foil backed glass gives my bicycle parts the look of metal.
Little dog in the works.
I wanted to create movement behind her so I gave my sandy beach a wave like flow.
Almost finished.
Grout done now clean up and buff.
