Nature Escape Lake Saddleworth

Saddleworth has quite a bad history and is known all around the world for the terrible events that took place there.

But Saddleworth also has some unknown beauty spots, such as this lake at Wessenden Head Reservoir that I found while out hiking.

The Reservoir is a nice escape. The water is blue, clear, and peaceful. I sat down on some rocks for a while to unwind.

If I am honest, this place reminded me of being aboard in Greece; it did not look like part of the English countryside.

The valley view is amazing on a clear day. I took a slow walk around the lake; it is not a massive place but well worth a hike on a nice day.
