Turns Out NASA Creates Posters For Every Space Mission And They’re Hilariously Awkward
709Kviews
Space Flight Awareness program is a project, curated by NASA, meant for NASA employees. An inside job, so to say. Its purpose is to motivate their people working on space missions and to make them feel important. And we do understand that, as you can start feeling pretty insignificant and alone when orbiting the Earth in solitude.
One of the SFA's motivational and just plain fun activities is making super cool posters for every NASA mission. These funny posters were mainly used to boost the crew's morale and were also hung in NASA facilities and other government organizations. However, when astronauts got bored with the standard group photos, they decided to spice things up a bit. And what's a better way to do that other than throwing in some pop culture references or mocking famous movie posters? And no, space exploration experts are not your boring stuck-up scientists!
Fair warning the results are quite cringy, making it hard to believe that these images are actually for real. Scroll below to see the hilarious NASA posters and upvote your favorites!

front left....with the red light saber. graduated high school with him
I thought that said Gary Coleman and did a double take thinking I somehow missed him in the image.
It’s just lovely that NASA has a bit of creative fun with each crew by making these movie posters for each expedition.
Just a bunch of geeks doing geek things and having fun. I'm sure everyone in these posters LOVED them!

Actually, they're nerds. Technically, geeks are circus sideshow performers that were not deformed in any way and therefore, not a freak
They're neither. They're heroes. I hate the idea that this is only a geek or a nerd thing. These are the sort of people and organisations that will propel the human race into social advancement, we have to stop thinking of them as a niche group who are just obsessed with maths, they ought to have celeb status.
Much like many other words, geek has multiple definitions and the circus performer one is quite obviously not the one intended in this context. The definition "an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity " fits very well.
This is what happens when you let scientists and engineers have fun....Nasa was asking for it!
'let'. No...this is NASA realized that if t hey don't 'let' their highly educated, trained and probably overly intelligent people have some fun... other pranks are bound happen.
I think these should be displayed in grade schools.
