My Vision Of Double Exposure

Smena 8 was my first analog camera. A little plastic Russian camera, easy to use with sun and clouds drawn on it for easier settings.

I made a random mistake by forgetting to rewind the film and make double exposure. Since then I’ve been fascinated how by moving and overlapping the picture I can make a completely different view and dimension of the object we are observing. That’s what my series of nude portraits and portraits har developed into. I am occupied with their characters, expressions, feelings, relationships and poetic flow which they grow into from the merged images.

By experimenting I am pointing out the beauty of coincidence in the form of an inprecise picture on the 35mm film.
