Ah, the blissfulness of tie-dye. The strangely beautiful and fantastically complex artwork of tying cloth and adding liquid colorings never gets old. Ever since the 1960s, tie-dye art has captivated our minds with its intriguing colorful medleys and bizarre striations. Though the art form is thousands of years old, during the 60s’ is when it first rose to prominence in the United States. A timeless classic, tie-dye is a wondrous spectacle of magnificent visual art and the brilliance of randomness in abstract design. As a colorful aesthetic jewelry artist, tie-dye is one of my go-to artworks for inspiration. Not only do I love the combination of colors in tie-dye works, the abstract art characteristics of the works are themselves refreshing and fascinating to view, making the creations, overall, captivating compositions of art.

Like for most artists, I’ve found that making my favorite types of art is a fun and therapeutic experience for me, a sort of momentary fantastical escapade away from the stresses of the chaotic world into the blissfulness of my colorful imaginations. As a graphic design hobbyist, I combined my love of making handmade jewelry with that of graphic design, resulting in a collection of my handmade earrings on a variety of splendid tie-dye fabrics. The tie-dye artworks I found randomly over time. The earrings, I made them, using beads and wires. The color combinations for my earrings were chosen in a variety of ways, including from color palettes, randomly, by patterns, and also from influences of artworks, including tie-dye art. All the earrings presented in this post are available in my shop. (See code for discount.)
