In Honor Of World Breastfeeding Week, I Took These Photos Of Beautiful Mothers
I am Tammy, a photographer based in Munich, Germany. Breastfeeding photography is very special to me. It is one of those things in life you cannot seem to find the correct words to describe what it makes you feel. I call my project “Walks of Motherhood.”
I feel transported elsewhere when I am shooting a mom breastfeeding her child. It is as though I was feeling their connection, and all that energy gets under my skin.
To commemorate this World Breastfeeding Week 2015, I gathered some of my favorite photos and made a video. I also asked the moms I photographed what breastfeeding means to them, and I wrote these quotes on the video as well. The result is something special to me and I hope the world sees the beauty in it!

I agree. Still don't understand why people have problems with moms breastfeeding their children in public. It's natural thing and they just wanna feed their babies, when they're hungry.

Gorgeous!! I love that you showed all the best in breastfeeding from babies, to nursing while pregnant and extended breastfeeding. I'm in the US and people thought I was crazy for nursing my son until he self-weaned at 26 months. I wish I'd had the support and knowledge to nurse my first child, but was only met with ignorant doctors and terrible lactation consultants. It's awful how ignorant people still are in 2015.

I completly understand those are the best pictures that symbolize motherhood that i have ever witnessed . Im a muslim btw and you would be surprised at the number of verses Allah Swt speaks about motherhood and EVEN breastfeeding .
