It is rare to see a Zebra shark but to see a swimming Zebra shark is pure luck. Due to laziness they usually lay on the sandy seafloor all day and rest, only at dusk and dawn they are hunting. Many people think this is a Leopard Shark but in fact it’s the Zebra Shark (Stegostoma fasciatum). The name retrieves from it’s juvenile pattern as it looks like a zebra, black and white striped. It’s zebra looking pattern changes into the leopard looking pattern with age. The actual leopard shark is native to middle and south America.
