I Photographed Mountains That Look Like Mordor From The Lord Of The Rings

My name is Jakub Polomski and I am an enthusiastic photographer and traveler. I’m also a great fan of Tolkien’s literature.

Some time ago I’ve started creating a series of mountain photographs as I’m strongly inspired by the fiction realm Mordor from “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” novels. I always imagined it as a dark and evil landscape and that is how I made my photos look.

In the post-production process I focused on adjusting levels/curves and setting specific cold tones after conversion to black and white. Here I present you the first part of my photos from Austrian and Swiss Alps.
