My name is Sandy Ibrahim Major and I am a Lebanese-American photographer based in Washington, D.C. I took these pictures recently using a concept in mind. The journey for this concept started a while back when I decided to merge my passion for creative photography with my love for capturing reflections, and use it towards a meaningful concept that would touch people’s hearts.

I had seen objects (such as flowers, cars, etc) being reflected in water droplets before, but not people. So one day I thought, why not take this concept and adopt it towards something more meaningful by reflecting a picture of a loved one in a water droplet instead of reflecting an object. I instantly grabbed my camera that morning and started playing around with the concept. It turned out to be such a unique and interesting activity that I decided to pursue it full force and grew this experiment into a project I named “Drops of Memories” bringing people’s special memories to life through water droplets using different elements each time depending on the theme.

I always found it incredibly interesting and amazing to witness how the natural phenomenon of capturing reflections brings so much artistry to photography, resulting every time in a different photographic outcome, each with its own artistic touch.
