Man Documents Incredible Transformation Into Woman In 17 Months, And Her Facial Expression In Last Pic Says It All
Ohio student who uses an Imgur username Selgal has shared intimate photos of her transition from a man into a woman, and the eye-opening images provide additional information about what happens to a body during hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Selgal has documented 17 months (almost 1,5 years) on this process and provided personal comments about the way she felt throughout her gender transformation.
HRT involves taking hormones attributed to gender together with other medications. It brings out secondary sexual characteristics that develop at puberty but aren’t involved in reproduction. Those medications include estrogens and antiandrogens (male-to-female or MTF transformations) and androgens like testosterone (female-to-male). In trans women, this therapy may distribute fat to the hips, reduce the size of their reproductive organs, lessen muscle mass and power, increase breast size and limit the growth of facial hair. To maintain the effects, transgender people have to continue HRT therapy throughout their whole lives. And though it’s quite a lot of work, this way they don’t have to take the risk with the male to female surgery complications.
“It’s never too late to change who you are,” Selgal said describing her MTF transformation journey. “Happiness is real; you just have to be willing to risk anything to find it.”

I think that who wrote this article should be respectful and refer to her as female in the title, not a "Man who transformed into a woman" because she never was a man. We (Trans persons) are not just a catchy title to gain visits because of the morbo that produces seeing us transitioning.

Im so happy for her to find herself like this, love the end result really pretty! must better as a woman than a guy as a cis gen saying that I hope it's appreciated - I just wish I could get some sort of treatment to fix my own issues, Im cis as explained but often get mistaken for a lady because of my voice and fail body hair :D - its ok though I get by - can't wait for everyone to be able to get this kind of help though!

So happy for you. You were beautiful to start with (with those lips to DIE for) and just kept getting better and better as you became the woman you are today, even though it seemed to take forever to you. I don't mean better in just the physical sense. You were never ugly at any point before or during your transition. But as the woman's beauty unfurled, I know you had to be happier and more confident. I wish more people could put themselves into the shoes of people who transition or want to, or who understood that gender is a spectrum, with hundreds of physical, genetic and emotional variations and a thousand ways to feel and be ones beautiful self.

I think it's incredibly sad that at 16 years you are so mentally ill and confused (as all teens are at that age) that you make these life altering decisions based on feelings. Dude, I seriously hope and pray that you find happiness at some point, but I think in the next few years you will realize the drastic permanent mistake you have made and have severe regrets. God does not make mistakes. The doctors who encourage this charade and help you in mutilating your body deserve to lose their license.

My sister was diagnosed of Parkinsons Disease at age 57. She had slurred speech and severe tremors, she was put on sinemet and Siferol for over 14 months. During this time span she was also diagnosed with dementia. Her care provider adivce we start on herbal treatment from ULTIMATE HEALTH HOME (Reach them at ultimatehealthhome@gmail.com). Within 2 months on the treatment she improved dramatically. At the end of the full treatment course, the disease is totally under control, no case of hallucination, tremors, weakness, muscle pain and she can walk just fine

At 60 years old I am trying to transition finally. Herbal hormones are very slow to work and I would do anything to remove this horrible body hair. She is beautiful.

Dear Bored Panda, could we stop perpetuating the false notion that transsexual people change gender? Transsexual people are born with a gender identity-body mismatch, so when they transition they are affirming their inborn gender identity, not changing it. I got teary eyed looking at those photos. Darned estrogen talking. I started HRT a week ago. Most changes are the emotional kind, and a craving for olives, LOL! There's just a slight physical difference here and there. But the changes eventually add up over a long period of time. I can see hope for now and the future. So happy for you. You were beautiful to start with (with those lips to DIE for) and just kept getting better and better as you became the woman you are today, even though it seemed to take forever to you. I don't mean better in just the physical sense. You were never ugly at any point before or during your transition. But as the woman's beauty unfurled, I know you had to be happier and more confident. I wish more people could put themselves into the shoes of people who transition or want to, or who understood that gender is a spectrum, with hundreds of physical, genetic and emotional variations and a thousand ways to feel and be ones beautiful self.

I think it's incredibly sad that at 16 years you are so mentally ill and confused (as all teens are at that age) that you make these life altering decisions based on feelings. Dude, I seriously hope and pray that you find happiness at some point, but I think in the next few years you will realize the drastic permanent mistake you have made and have severe regrets. God does not make mistakes. The doctors who encourage this charade and help you in mutilating your body deserve to lose their license.

My sister was diagnosed of Parkinsons Disease at age 57. She had slurred speech and severe tremors, she was put on sinemet and Siferol for over 14 months. During this time span she was also diagnosed with dementia. Her care provider adivce we start on herbal treatment from ULTIMATE HEALTH HOME (Reach them at ultimatehealthhome@gmail.com). Within 2 months on the treatment she improved dramatically. At the end of the full treatment course, the disease is totally under control, no case of hallucination, tremors, weakness, muscle pain and she can walk just fine

At 60 years old I am trying to transition finally. Herbal hormones are very slow to work and I would do anything to remove this horrible body hair. She is beautiful.

I'll be very honest I'm personally not ready to see photos of his / her transformation. But at a heart level I'm glad she's happy... I hope whatever body were in we find true inner piece that doesn't depend on how we look.

Dear Bored Panda, could we stop perpetuating the false notion that transsexual people change gender? Transsexual people are born with a gender identity-body mismatch, so when they transition they are affirming their inborn gender identity, not changing it. Maybe your headline could have read: Trans woman documents her amazing transition in pictures over 17 months.

The headline for this is very problematic by calling her a “man” who became a woman. Bored Panda, she was NEVER a man. She had a MALE BODY yes, but she was born a woman. Don’t call her a man. Her body just developed the wrong way in the womb.

I got teary eyed looking at those photos. Darned estrogen talking. I started HRT a week ago. Most changes are the emotional kind, and a craving for olives, LOL! There's just a slight physical difference here and there. But the changes eventually add up over a long period of time. I can see hope for now and the future. You CAN love someone if you don't love yourself. Why should you not? People with depression have partners they love. Teenagers going through rough self-doubt have love in their life. It's just a saying to promote more self-love, but it's not necessary.
