Maybelline has a new campaign face and for the first time ever it’s a guy!
Named Manny Gutierrez, the 25-year-old is a so-called “beauty boy” that posts make-up tutorials to his millions of followers. “As a child, I would watch my mom get ready for work and just sit there for hours watching her transform,” he told Teen Vogue in 2016. “However, it wasn’t until much later on that I really started to dabble in makeup myself.” And we must say, he’s pretty good! With over 3 million followers on Instagram and 2 million subscribers on Youtube, no wonder this guy is the newest face of Maybelline!

Not to be negative, but while this is a victory in the gender equality column, It's a marketing move by Maybelline, not a social one.
Yes indeed, it's creating buzz which is good for business. However, it isn't making me want to go buy makeup. But I'm not the demographic.

Stille, it's ok to be negative when presented with untreated mental illness.
@Jim I had to hit like on all your comments they have me rolling on the floor. Thanks for the laughs xx
it's his damn face he can do whatever the hell he likes
Thank you!!!
It's sort of weird to see guys wearing makeup. I mean I don't think that amount of makeup looks good on females either though
Rock stars do that since decades ago. And K-pop stars too actually. I get your point, though.
Exactly. Marc Bolen!!!!! David Bowie! GDragon :D

Just "sort of" weird, huh? Not fundamentally defective or anything like that?
I think a lot of guys are self conscious of their acne and wish they could wear makeup to cover it the way girls do. They should be able to.
