Why jump to global warming?? I thought the bear was reaching out to a smiling reflection? Or old myths of the sun rising...
I love polar bears so much. This is beautiful but sad at the same time.
To me it looks like the sun setting below the water. Not that global warming isn't a concern but the rest of his body of work focuses on fairy tales and home scenes. I do not see any agenda in this piece.
The illustrations are so lovely, inocents and have that sense of purity. I love this , and make me come back my childhood, when we were autentics and believed in the magic.
