35 New Costumes From The Cheap Cosplay Guy That Are Hilariously On Point
Cosplay can get expensive, especially if you're taking it seriously and regularly trying out new ideas. So take it from Anucha “Cha” Saengchart. The Internet's beloved cosplay enthusiast and the creator behind "Lowcost Cosplay" is back at it again to remind us that it's possible to transform into someone else on a shoestring budget. All it takes is creativity.
From a bootleg Joker to Billie Eilish straight out of a VOGUE cover, Saengchart is sure to inspire you with his out-of-the-box use of everyday items. No wonder he has over 5M followers! When you're done scrolling through this post, you can find more of his ingenious cosplay on our previous articles here, here, here, and here.

Saengchart's cosplay and the fan army it has earned him is even more impressive when you consider his competition. From buying their outfits at stores to commissioning artists to create one-of-a-kind costumes, it's common for people to spend up to a couple thousand dollars on a single look.

Which shouldn't come as a surprise when you consider that people paid an estimated $17.8 billion for costumes and wigs alone in 2017, and the global industry is said to be worth at least $45 billion dollars and growing at a rate of 15% each year.So in a game where some think that big bucks mean big attention, Saengchart is living proof that the opposite is (also) true.
“If you become creative and properly use your imagination, you can use anything that makes you happy to cosplay,” Saengchart said in an interview.
