Kiwi And His Goth Girlfriend Just Had 4 Babies And Internet Is In Love
608Kviews
This adorable love story is genuinely colorful. 19-year-old Maura T. Hennelly shared the love story of her Parakeets on Twitter, and the internet fell head over heels for the two drastically different lovebirds.
Parakeets as pets are a great choice, for those allergic to fur. With their lovable characters, they have gained many fans between the animal owners. In mid-2017 Maura noticed that Kiwi, the bright, colorful boy lovebird, was getting sad and lonely, so she got him a girlfriend, but the relationship wasn’t successful. Some time passed, and Maura got him Siouxsie – a goth girlfriend.
It was love from the first sight for these two lovebirds. Drastically differently colored birds stole the hearts of many and started following their story. Soon Maura shared the news that Siouxsie was about to lay eggs and later that they had four adorable baby parakeets. “Remember Kiwi & his goth gf?” Maura wrote on Twitter. “Well now she’s his goth wife, and they have four beautiful half goth babies.”
Take a look at the pictures of parakeets and their young family below.

Cute story. Those are lovebirds. Not parakeets.
Edited :)
thanks
But whatever they are, they are beautiful.
Parakeets are not a species of bird, they are a type of small parrot. Budgerigars are only a TYPE of parakeet. Lovebirds are in the same family as Budgerigars and many other parakeet species known as Psittaculidae. Google is your friend.
Glad someone said it. Lovebirds look nothing like parakeets.
They aren't lovebird neighter. Lovebirds ad paradise parrots look alike though those are paradise parrots
Nope, fishers lovebirds
No one curious about what happened to the other girlfriend? I hope she's in a good home having a happy life
@Dianimal and @Nadine before BP redid this story, the actual bird owner posted it. The other girlfriend left him (as in she flew away). I think it was for the better, because he looks much happier with his new mate
I really hope she was given away, because if she 'ran' (/flew) off, she's probably dead by now..
If a lovebird flies away, it will quickly die. So no, not for the better.
A pet bird who gets airborne outdoors will quickly become disoriented and lost. They might be very close to their house and not be able to find their way back, no matter how badly they want to return. That’s why if this happens, you spread a large light-colored sheet on your yard with their cage smack in the middle, to help them find their way home. And don’t take them outdoors at all unless they are wearing a bird harness.
if she 'flew away" she is now most likely dead. Exotic birds are NOT accepted by wild birds....hopefully someone kind found her.
I thought lovebirds mated for life I didn't realize they could leave each other voluntarily
I know this is a year out but.... I worked a zoo in Florida. One of the students was returning home and had parakeets we put them in an unused outside cage. Later that week two more parakeets landed on the cage. We let them in this went on and on we ended up with about 45 "pet" parakeets by the end of the year. They heard their brethren and just flew in and joined the caged flock. It was really kind of cool. I was a big cat guy but this warmed my heart and I made sure these pet store refuges were well cared for.
Thank you! :)
The owner re-homed her because they weren’t getting along. As in, found a new, loving, forever home for her. Calm down guys.
Yes. I'm also curious to know what happened.
I had no idea there was an ex-gf involved. And she had the nerve to ghost such a sweetie! The new couple look so proud of themselves and their kids.
The teal/turquoise? on those two is amazing! Mixed colour lovebirds are going to be the new thing! So pretty!
