Over two trips to New Zealand, I managed to visit almost every Lord of the Rings filming location on both the North and South islands.
Here are the shots that I was best able to recreate and that lined up with scenes from the movies!

It's been an eternity since I've watched the appendicies, but I remember it being freeking cold & poor Andy freezing when he had to be in the water. Maybe the season difference, + nature ever evolving that makes a difference
They really had some awesome nature to work with... & some people with a ton of imagination to see what could be... Don't know what I'm more in awe of, lol
