Delusional Guy Lists The Things He Expects For His “Birthday Month” And They Are Ridiculous
Imagine a perfect day: what would it be like for you? Well, it seems like the guy in this story had a very clear vision of it. “He gets to go out with his friends whenever he wants.” “He gets to play with his Xbox for hours on end without his wife interrupting.” I am not just making this up.
These demands come from a post on r/AITA, from a Redditor and wife who announced that “her husband is turning 30 next month” and added that “it’s a big deal to him, clearly.” In fact, saying that the deal was big would be an understatement.
The husband has called the whole month “his birthday month” and created an expectation list that basically cancels his day-to-day responsibilities and enables him to do whatever he wants. The expectations were meant to be made come true by not just anyone, but his wife. So let me just tell you this didn’t sit with her well, and clearly, family drama ensued.
Recently, a woman has shared this “list of expectations” she received from her husband
(not the actual photo)
It turns out he’s turning 30 next month, which he calls “his birthday month,” meaning he expects the special treatment listed above
And this is what people had to comment about the whole situation

Share on FacebookSo he's basically saying he wants to act like an irresponsible, entitled child for an entire month, just to honor the dubious achievement of being alive for thirty years?? Eh no, not if he wants to make it to 31.
Lmaooo the sass!! xD *wheeze* i swer the way you worded this just lifted my spirits rn. XD dubious achievement of being alive hehehh!!! he took birth-day out of proportion lol
Load More Replies...This list was not written by a man about to turn 30, it was written by a self entitled 11 year old!
Don't throw shade to my fellow middle schoolers lol
Load More Replies...There is no such thing as a "birthday month". Your birthDAY is one day, it's literally in the name. Also, is the OP sure her husnabd is 30? Sounds more like 10.
And, with a few exceptions due to laws, birthdays shouldn't be that big a deal after you move out of your mother's house.
Load More Replies...I can understand the value of gestures and pampering rather than material gifts, and having a responsibility-free day or two sounds great... but a month is just delusional.
Give him the month off . . . by YOU going somewhere WITHOUT him to be SURE he is not interrupted! Leave the kid with him, your parents or his parents, and he can do everything he wants. For all the years you didn't get a birthday treat and all the holidays I'm sure you hosted and cleaned up after -- he can celebrate by himself, which apparently he wants. Don't call home. Don't pack much, travel light. Here’s hoping there is only one vehicle and you need to take it! This way he won't be bothered to fill it up or think about parking. You can make up your own schedule about driving or staying in a nice place -- very little stress on you. And while you're at it, look around at the real world and know you can do better than this guy! If he won't grow up, you have to. Life is too short to be mother to the man . . .
That's putting your child in dangerous condition. For a month. I mean, if she loves her kid and sees that daddy is irresponsible jerk, she wouldn't do that.
Load More Replies...Did anyone else notice that the piece of paper was "not the actual photo?" Sure enough, it's not on the Reddit post. Some BP staff member took the time to write that out and make it look sloppy as hell just to have an appropriate photo of some child's birthday wishlist. I'm impressed.
