Nowadays, the world feels as if it's overwhelmingly full of people obsessed with various aesthetics. From cottagecore to dark academic -- there's probably one for every single person out there.
Well, today, we're also going to focus on two aesthetics -- liminal spaces and dreamcore. They might not be as cozy as some other popular ones, but doesn't mean they don't have their own fans. Of course they do -- quite a lot, in fact. So, today let's explore how these aesthetics blend together and who knows? You might just become a fan yourself.

I've come to realise, what makes a lot of liminal/nostalgic scenes like that is lighting. the warm yellow lighting is everything.
I have dreams similar to these, but the doors are dark oak, and the only light comes from the planets/stars, and the forest (if that is what it is on the horizon) is closer. I confess to taking magic mushrooms when I was very much younger, and I have very vivid dreams to this day. Related or not related, I have no idea.
This might be photoshop, or AI. This appears to be the inside of a house, there's a light switch and electrical outlets, no doors, and the snow seems to seamlessly merge with the carpet/floor in the hallway
The dark blob in the center in probably just an unfocused fish in the foreground? But when you zoom in it looks like a man standing there with water distortion. Yikes!
Where is that and I wish my kids were still young enough to play there.
Noticing the artificial grass right next to the flowers makes this feel even more familiar and strange, I love this picture
Imagine having your own personal backrooms in your house. oh wait, that's this house
Do NOT go in there without the Easter Bunny and his boomarangs! (Rise of the Guardians movie reference)
I can smell this picture, for some reason. Smells like chlorine and plastic pool stuff.
"Good morning, oh and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight!"
Many of these seem to be AI, & once you know that, they don't have the same effect
Yes, most of them look that they came from someone's imagination.
Load More Replies...I’d prefer unstaged, not manipulated or computer generated images. The appeal of such lists is in the magic of finding and recording an actual weird in-between space in the wild.
This is a photo I took of a street in winter evening. It's probably the most liminal photo I have. Winter-eve...b7da49.jpg
