It should come as no surprise that we love cats. Yes, these little beings can be hard to understand sometimes, but their cuteness redeems all the mischievous deeds they might have done (accidentally or not). Living with a cat is never dull and we can prove that.
Lingvistov is back on Bored Panda with even more colorful webcomics depicting the funny realities of owning a cat: torn toilet paper, clothes covered in fur, early begging for food, lazy lounging and other shenanigans that cat owners might relate to. Scroll down and take a look at these funny comics.

My Fena never bit, but my cat Mao bit my Mom on the back of the hand once. Her skin was very wrinkly and loose and he drew blood. She cried but she was okay. She was never comfortable with cats and I think they knew that, so it made them uneasy too. My youngest cat, Lucky, had a lot of health problems. We lost him in 2016 to cancer, he was only 8, but he tried so hard to bond to my Mom. She was his "person" but she never really gave him a chance.
The illustrator Landysh has previously revealed to Bored Panda that she has been drawing since she was a kid, but she has never studied art as her mother didn’t allow it. Fortunately, that never stopped her from doing it.
The artist has graduated from a linguistic university and never went to an art school, so the illustrations are a result of passion, determination and purposeful work.
My baby Fena, she loved having her paws touched, rubbed, etc. All four of them. She'd "pet" me, like I did her, and she'd "hug" her paw around my finger to hold on. I miss her so bad.
Not me laughing cause the upvotes are a 69
Load More Replies...Laughed out loud when I saw this - it’s exactly how I’m sitting atm 😂🥰
That's why you sit in a recliner with your feet up. You'll lose your footrest, though.
The journey of Lingvistov started when the artist launched a website, which initially was a school of English. Landysh decided to add her illustrations there to make it stand out from other schools.
The artworks received a lot of attention after the artist shared them on Bored Panda. It "forced" her to reinvent her business and focus on drawings only.
Awww! My babies never chewed on cords or tripped like that, but my baby Mao would give "love bites" when you were in the bathroom on the toilet. He'd "love bite" the side of your thigh while you were sitting, but gentle. If he did too hard and you cried out, he'd put his ears back, back away a bit and hunch down, feeling bad. He was such a sweet baby.
One of ours will literally run across the house to get right in front of you, as you are walking, to do 'the flop' which sets the stomach of doom trap. It is dangerous and hilarious...especially when he does it to my one legged spouse when crutches are in use...so much cursing whilst trying not to die from the rapid loss of forward momentum + no air bags for safety 😂😂
I have a Maine Con cat ("Con", to keep from being censored) with a huge bushy tail that she deliberately sticks right in my face when I annoy HER. She is a true brat when she doesn't get what she wants when she wants it.
Our siamese is a weirdo that has gets wild with crunchy paper noises, especially tissue paper! Kitty asmr
Fena and I used to play that way. I'd grip her back foot in the air, and she'd "shake" it, so I'd do it again and she'd meow and sit up and "shake" it again, etc.
From coming up with an idea to finishing the drawing it's an absolutely exciting process for the Lingvistov team. "It's a little adventure every time." However, there are some challenges that the artist has to overcome. Landysh revealed that the most challenging thing for her at the moment is not to let herself burn out. "It's hard work because it's both manual and intellectual, so it is easy to work yourself into the ground. You want to do so much! And it takes longer to recover after you burn out. So for me, it's finding a balance between rest and work."
My cat always goes nuts looking for the squeaking kittens.

Perfectly captured pissed off cats- flat ears, slitty eyes, roughed up fur and out of shape whiskers! You are good!
I do draw the line at eating. If I wanted a beggar I'd get a dog

If you're thinking of starting drawing comics yourself, Lingvistov has some advice for you! "My biggest advice is to be personal and authentic, to draw and write about things that you know. You won't believe how many people will relate to that. That was probably the most surprising thing for me - discovering that someone can see themselves in the comics I make. Another important thing is not to stop, because success is not something that happens overnight - it takes hard work and time."
I love the feel and weight of my cat’s body by my feet.😊
Luckily, one of my cats, Jack, who is also the one who sleeps on the bed all night, is so laid back that he’ll simply adjust when I change sleep positions. I can move a leg or foot under him, and he’s like furry sleeping liquid. The other cats either get up and move or jump off the bed if I moved.
Mine's like Jack, tho at times I get claws on my thigh from moving.
Load More Replies...I have lain in discomfort for an embarrassingly long time instead of turning over and losing my snuggle buddy. 😳😆
My 12 year old always clingy , has to be near me. He sleeps on my pillow and up and down frequently which interrupts my sleep. I want to shut him out of bedroom but then I think how long will he be around. I'm afraid to lock him out because I know that one day I will bitterly regret
I had a cat that would scoot and scoot and scoot til she was under my then-pregnant belly, pressed fully into the memory foam. She'd purr and my daughter would kick. They'd stay up half the night having their bizzaro world conversations.
Both my cats do this. Masayuki always sleeps on my legs as T.j sleeps on my chest. This is now my normal every night routine. Perfect
Yeah, and this sleeping spot, among others, is why I wake up with a bad back.
me and my twin brother have the same sweatshirt. once they got mixed up. brother looks at one and goes "it has joanie's hair on it. liv, this one's yours." (joanie is my cat)
Lingvistov is currently working on a book - the first collection of Landysh's comics! "We're cooperating with a very old printing company in our small town. Usually, they print serious books and they told me they love printing our calendars, it's a good change from their serious book routine. And some of the people who work there even have my comics on their desks! It is the best compliment I could hope for, for sure."

LOL in Germany such a fox jump is called "Maussprung" (mouse jump) because the foxes do this to eventually catch a mouse below the snow.
Showing your their belly—-their most vulnerable position—-is a sign of their deference to you and their trust in you. Also, when you pet them, if they close their eyes, they trust you. Basically, they know the petting and scratching that feels so good won’t turn into a blow that hurts.
Oh man, when my cat does this you’re stuck on belly duty for at least 30mins. We used to put him to sleep as a kitten by rolling him on his back and scratching his chest and ‘pits. I may have also taught, by accident, to roll on his back and beg dramatically when the hubs is ignoring him…. Complete with soulful sighs, pitiful mews, and paw to the face.
They got the fur but golly how many times do I shiver so she can wear half of my sweater!😼
My youngest cat, Tabitha, will track, chase, and trap bugs in the house. If a fly gets in, we usually just call her name to show her where it is. Once she gets a bead on it, the chase is on. She’s really good at catching them too. Thing is though, once she’s caught them and played with them for a while, she…well…she eats them. I’ve had to race to trap the occasional wasp (old house, still haven’t figured out where they get in) in a jar to put it outside before she chomps down on it and ends up with a fat lip from being stung—-not to mention the vet bill.
My Nina took flies to the bathtub and spit them out there alive, the humming in the bathtub had a special sound she obviously liked. After playing she ate them. Now Nina is 17 and does not play anymore, we cuddle a lot instead.
My wife swatted a fly high upon the wall. One of our cats has been staring at its imprint for months to come........................................
Omg! My cat. We have to point out her treats but she will spot a fly or skeeter eater a mile away.
One time it was a tree frog in my room. She was just staring at it. 😹
Mine come with me to the WC he use to open easily the door , no privacy

I'm 99% positive my cat knows the difference between "I'll be right back" and "I'll be back later"
The little scratches already on the chair is DEFINITELY accurate!
Mine stops at the shoulder, and snuggles up, leaving me to type one handed. Because WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?!
My cats always wanted me around them when they ate their food. They liked me petting them, during, too. Especially Lucky, he didn't like to eat unless I was right there, petting him. I don't think I really realized it at the time, I'd never had cats before. But my 3 were special.
My cat Jack tends to lay down on the remote when he jumps up to lay down next to me when I’m sitting on the sofa watching TV. He has changed the channel, turned the closed-captioning on, and turned the TV off many times. He’s a 15 lb cat who doesn’t realize he’s not a tiny kitten anymore, so I have to give the big doofus a pass. Believe it or not, he was the runt of the litter.
My two female cats, Smudgy and Tabitha, tend to grab a big mouthful of food out of the bowl, and drop on the floor in front of the bowl to eat smaller pieces of it. Of course, I end up having to scrape the dried, stuck-on, crumbs of food off the kitchen floor later in the morning.
maybe they need wider bowls they dont like it when it smooshes there whiskers
Load More Replies...My cats only get "gravy" because the one that was rescued off the street will take pate and run with it. It's not even about the bowl, it's just that he has had major trust issues.
Load More Replies...I've seen a different bizarre way though. Cat 1 wolves down food. Throws up, licks chops and lips, and walks away. Meanwhile, Cat 2 stops eating its own food but goes at the vomit, from Cat 1 earlier. Cleans up spillage, attempts to walk away but fails. Cat 2 then barfs, licks chops and lips, and walks away. Finally, Cat 1 returns because it's hungry. Finishes whatever Cat 2 has left behind, including the regurgitation, repeats post meal, and then walks away. One of the weirdest thing I've seen waiting for the bus.
Thori´s # 1, he needs - like - an eternity to empty his food bowl, while his patchwork brofur Gizzy´s completely greedy and always makes a mess with the dry food all around his food bowl.
You forgot the ending to all this. She picks up the stray cat and takes them home to live with her.
One of my dear friends, who used to be my boss long ago, was late to work one day. She stopped to get gas, saw a small grey cat abandoned at the gas station, and took it home in her coat to be hers forever.
Load More Replies...I got lost in lower town Kyiv once and then, while arguing with my boyfriend about which way to go, we stumbled upon a kitty basking in the sunshine. Decided to just take a break and pet kitty for a while while we gathered our bearings. I hope that kitty is okay right now 💙💛
And your vacation ends as she spends the rest of the vacation getting the various paperwork and vet approval to bring it back home with you.
That would be me if that dear sweet kitty does not have a home!
Load More Replies...This is me - if it's possible I will also bring it home or see it every day
Can't take her home, looks like there in another country. This happened to me at the train in France. I was working on a yacht and I couldn't take her. My heart was broken, it was a kitten.
I simply turned around the other day and my cat, who I guess was behind me, got scared and did her little Scooby-Doo run on the hard wood floor, which in turn scared the c**p out of me cause the house was otherwise silent until then ><
At least it wasn't a dropped cucumber! (search web for videos if needed)
True, if you drop an apple or so for the cat it sounds like a bomb somewhere because cats can hear more than 10 times better/louder than we humans do.
it matters not the size of the cat in the fight, but the size of fight in the cat. -whoever the f**k
The boldest cat I have ever had is my youngest now. She was a tiny 5-6 week old kitten who didn’t even weigh 1 lb when some a*****e dumped her in our yard. She lived on my shoulder up under my hair for the first couple weeks. Once she felt strong enough, she immediately started totally dominating everyone else; the other 3 cats and the dog—-and they all let her! She’s 2 years old now, and has never gotten bigger than almost 7 lbs, so she’s still half grown kitten size, and she still walks all over the dog and jumps on the older cats to get them to play with her. She is tiny but fearless.
Load More Replies...The big cat's face is how my cat looks at other animals that give warning signals to go away. He just looks like "Dude, what's the matter? Need a buddy?"
My cat. I didn't train her. I red somewhere cats are not like dogs and you can keep food in their bowl. They will eat when they want. If you fill their bowls once a day then they start to feel like food is scarse and become to act like the cat at right
Load More Replies...I have to open the bag and hold it under my cat's nose. If she likes what's offered, she licks her lips - if not, she shakes a paw in disgust and walks away. Then I enhance the disgusting food with treats so she eats it anyway. I've been trained very well.
This is the response I get from my cat when she catches me watching cat videos. She doesn't like it at all.
There are pictures I’ve seen of a full grown lion who was given a refrigerator-size box, and believe it or not, the saying “if I fits I sits” applies to our housecats’ wild cousins too! It’s a universal cat thing.
i must learn the usual routine of the human. once i finally finish it i can take their place, and soon all the others will too! no one can stop us! *cue evil meow laughter* ooh food time
Mine hate it when im home sick. It throws off their routine of whatever they do to my couch when im gone xD
Being kitty stalked is spooky fun, she's made me jump as high as she jumps chasing a goal w her dingle ball toys
I don't like the dumb jokes about cats eating us or taking over or being evil or overlords etc. My cat is my precious and I love her & she loves me! She looks at me with love & that's it. Y'all just crazy!
My sweet little lady gave birth under my knees when i was bedridden. Most beautiful experience of my life ❤
That's more my dog then my cat. Though my oldest cat doesn't mind being tucked in or having the blanket of his head. My youngest cat will crawl under though. Miss Priss my middle cat is as you can tell a Miss Priss lol
My Thori, he loves to go "camping" under my blanket, his patchwork brofur Gizzy doesn´t, he always lies back to back with me instead.
Mine know their names, including their nicknames. They may not know the word “No”, but they sure as hell know that particular tone of voice we use when we say it to them!
My kitties just learned their names! Steve Holt and Luka - they have selective hearing when it comes to the word/tone of voice that means “no.” How do you make them actually hear the No? 😂
Load More Replies...I just read this thing (sounds vague I know lol) but it said that cats understand our commands perfectly fine they just choose not to obey...def true w my cat, complete selective listening.
No, you can't be trusted to be alone. Who knows what kind of trouble you would get into, you might even get a dog.
Cats know all words, they just choose to ignore those that don't fit with their current mood.
100 True: a new study shows that cats recognize their owner calling their name, but they chose not to respond!!!
Cats unfortunately can’t understand some words ( thus is a true fact) like no stop etc but they can understand some like food and their names or words they here often
After jumping on Hubby B4 hernia surgery my kitty understands "NO" in at least 5 octaves.
My furry wake up call is usually my youngest cat, Tabitha, licking my face. She’s a real kissy cat for some reason. Sounds nice, right? Maybe, at first. After that, nope.
I used to have a at that would wake me, licking my nose ... and lick and lick and lick ...
Load More Replies...Ooh, no. 😮 I've woken up to the remains of dead mice beside my bed, but thankfully never in it!

I wake up to either face kisses, a light paw to the forehead, or a loud meow in the face!
That's why I always have to go pee without turning on the bathroom lights.
But that squinty blinky face is the cutest! 3am pee break and they follow you into the bathroom and squint and yawn like you’re inconveniencing them 😂

Load More Replies...My cat Cali, as I mentioned in another comment, does this so much to the point were we nicknamed her parrot and circus act. She sits on our shoulders, literally. And if you let, lays on your back while walking over hunchback style. (Edit: spelling mistake)
My roommate fir a year in college had sister cats names Chaos (white) and Serenity (Black). Serenity would only grudgingly get off the floor to hang on the couch. Chaos was usually either on a bookshelf or on a shoulder and would take flying leaps or claw his way up if you didn't just pick her up and put her on your shoulder.
Load More Replies...My kitten Squeaks has taken to just leaping on our backs when we bend and quickly getting comfortable. We have to call for help so we don’t get raked with claws by just standing 😂😂😞

Reward at the end with s toy mouse or something she can catck oil annihilate saves kitty frustration
Load More Replies...Easy for care takers, frustrating to cats..................there is actually no reward for the catch.......so give 'm a treat after they catch the red dot.
If you play with a laserpointer with your cats you should give them a real toy (mouse, ball, whatever) as reward at the end because the fact that the cats can´t really catch the red dot can be so frustrating for the cats that they won´t play with the laserpointer anymore next time. Little tip from a senior cats mom.
Our fat grey baby we healed from truama, abuse, sits in dark corner in eve by front door where we play "get the bug" 🐛 as I call it. Red light o mystery
My mother's German shepherd got introduced to this. A small laser dot she can chase and my mom can sit only now she's addicted. Thankfully the 3 little girls from next door came to visit and I introduced them to the laser. Now. The only problem is making sure they get mom's permission 1st as they visited 1 morning without telling her and she freaked when she couldn't find them.
Luckily our cats are terrified of the bathroom, as it has lots of water and water-sounds. 😅

I have a tuxedo cat named James Bond. Everyone likes to joke that, since he loves me the best, I'm the Bond Girlfriend of his movie.

I’d you so much and wiggle your toes after playing with them, they will jump on it soo fast
Have never seen this on my kitty. Here nosey is black before and after playtime.
Either that, or they give it one sniff, then turn on a dime and walk away disgusted. A yea4 later, you find it, in mint condition, in the same spot or kicked under the couch.
My cats are bored in my house right now and this spoke to me :( I’m trying to come up with some ideas to help with the boredom
Third panel could be “My Other Cat”, and a picture of the scratch pad being totally ignored, unused, and collecting dust.
I have both. Two very different cats. One who patiently sighs and one bitey little terror. 😹
I’ve had cats, and dogs, who loved me but ended up absolutely wild and crazy in lovelovelove with a friend of mine. My dog right now, who I rescued off the street during a brutal heatwave—-I rescued him. I. ME. No one else. I am the one who is supposed to be his hero here—-who loves me, but is just besotted with, and totally in thrall to, my husband, who didn’t even want to keep him when I couldn’t locate his owner. Scruffy loves me when my husband isn’t around, but once he shows up, I quickly become chopped liver over here. Go figure.
And they usually don’t—-but not until they’ve licked it so you can’t eat it. You know, “I don’t want it, but I’m going to make sure nobody else can have it”.
"I wont know unless I try human." Also stroopwafels are very good. Especially when heated up by a cup of tea or coffee.
My family had a cat like this when I was a kid. My sister and I had to learn how to do chores with a ginger cat wrapped around our necks.
Through the years, and I mean decades, my cats seem to zero in on one coveted spot in bed next to me, and will even have disputes over who is entitled to it. Usually, the winner is the oldest cat, but sometimes it’s just whoever gets there first. The spot is on my left side, in the curve of my torso when I sleep on that side—-basically, the spoon—-and it means I will put my arm over them and hug them. Yeah, I can see why it’s a coveted spot.
on the rare occasion of cereal at my house, me and one of our kittys always share basically face to face
The cat has escaped into the building hallway lol. I have two escape artists Iike this
Load More Replies...If you have a cat, you will inevitably have occasion to hear a mystery thump, crash, or other sound like something falling, and possibly breaking, that requires immediate investigation. Even if it’s 2 o’clock in the morning—-hell, especially then, because you don’t know if there’s something that’s now leaking all over the floor and/or furniture.
