Women Are Posting Their Post-Birth Pics After Kate Middleton’s Flawless Photos To Show How Different It Was For Them
1Mviews
After the birth of their third child, Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge did what royal family is expected to do and presented the youngest heir to the throne of the family for the world to see.
Kate Middleton was, as you would expect from a royal, well-groomed and putting on her best face, despite giving birth just hours previously. Some people were shocked however, by just how amazing she looked, flawless and still sporting that pregnancy glow in full makeup and heels. This has prompted a variety of responses, from sympathy for the amount of pressure she must experience to look her best even hours postpartum, to criticism for creating impossibly high expectations for other women.
But the best responses are from those new moms who are sharing their own hilariously real and disheveled post-birth photos. Not everyone has the luxury of a team of makeup and hair professionals at their disposal!
Obviously, the Duchess was just doing her job and probably loves these tongue-in-cheek comparisons. Giving birth is seriously hard work, and while Kate is required to go out into the glare of the media spotlight and be a role model, most women prefer a hard-earned rest and a square meal. Scroll down to check out the hilariously real post-natal comparisons for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!
Kate Middleton is known for looking flawless on all occasions and giving birth is no exception. Here’s how she looked just hours after giving birth to her third child

Some wished they looked that good after years of taking care of their children, not even hours

Other moms started saying she’s just hiding it all in and shared messages of compassion
And some were setting new goals for themselves in life

It's almost like Kate is somehow related to the future King of England or something... with access to superior health care and their many members of staff and unlimited funds... Oh wait, hang on...
the best healthcare in the world doesn't magic a baby out of your vagina...
It does however allow for not technically necessary treatments post birth e.g. extra drips that will help her to feel better and give her more energy. These treatments wouldn't be given on the NHS as they are not vital but they sure as hell do a lot to make a woman feel better after the exertion of giving birth. The fully balanced highly nutritious meal and snacks and the makeup artists and wardrobe team will also have done wonders to improve her appearance. Obviously there are some things that can't be changed about the birthing process and the following discomfort but there are an aweful lot of supportive treatments that can and do help those who can afford them and the health team to administer them...
Except is not the best healthcare in the world

Being married to the future King does nothing for you while you're pushing a baby out of your vajayjay with zero drugs

socialized healthcare.... she got the same any woman in Britain would get..... but with security guards
I highly doubt it. She wasn't an NHS patient.
No way she gave birth in a regular NHS hospital.
And it'S not the socialist health service, it's the National Health Service - paid with taxes. It's not great, the care is very basic (at least for adults) but it's there for everybody.
Okay, I have a bit of an unrelated question - why does everyone keep talking about her as "Kate Middleton", when she hasn't been Kate Middle ton for 7 years? (Round of applause for all mothers - I really can't understand your powers.)
Because they lack the knowledge perhaps? She's Kate Mountbatten-Windsor. I seriously doubt a family as old fashioned as the Royals would have let her keep her maiden name! She correctly should be referred to as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.. Some people abbreviate it to Kate Cambridge as it's less of a mouthful. Kate Middleton is not her name now as she took William's surname upon marriage and they try very hard to get people to refer to her as Catherine. That's the name William uses in public. The celebrities mentioned might only use their maiden names as that is the name they had when they became famous. Catherine Zeta Jones is known as Mrs Douglas outside of her work. Cate Blanchett is Cate Upton. Using their maiden names gets them a degree of anonymity should they want it.
Mountbatten was "Battenburg" up until the war - when they changed it so as to sound less Germanic
The royal family can also use their territorial name eg William Wales, Harry Wales as their father is the Prince of Wales. I believe that his parents use George Cambridge for Prince George as his father is Duke of Cambridge. So there are last names of a sort in use. Some of the family only use Windsor but Mountbatten-Windsor was instigated by the Queen as it merges her surname and her husband's. It is still referred to as The House of Windsor to the best of my knowledge.
diane a - and less cake like!
The media and women's magazines think it's trendy to use a woman's former name or in many cases just the surname. To me, it's an insult. They can't even spell "Kate" right, it's actually "Cate."
why did/do we still call Diana "Princess"? because we are the public, and try as they might, it is hard for one family to get millions of people to use a different name if we don't want to
It's her name, and she is titled in her own right.

It is not. It WAS until her marriage, now it's only her maiden name.
Bet she collapsed in bed as soon as she was home. With an entire team taking care of you, you can hold it together for a few minutes to take pictures. It also depends on how easy the birth was. After my first C-section I didn't know what reality was until the 3rd day and after my 2nd C-section I was walking up and down the hallways in the hospital 2 hours after surgery.
Exactly !!! She had a rather quick delivery, a lot of make up, and it's only for 5 minutes in front of the cameras.
