Jungle Book Movie Trailer Is Even Better Than Your Childhood Memories Of It
Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” is coming to theaters next April, and this trailer has everyone excited. The movie, directed by Iron Man’s Jon Favreau, tells the tale of Mowgli, who was raised by wolves in the Indian Jungle. This film adaptation will feature voice-overs by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, and is a CG and live-action hybrid. The animals and environment are actually photorealistic computer-generated imagery merged together with footage of Neel Sethi, who plays Mowgli.
Originally written in 1893-94 for Kipiling’s daughter Josephine, The Jungle Book contains many moral lessons. The stories so impressed Scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell that he asked for and received permission to use the text as a motivational book for Cub scouts. The 1967 Disney animated film is the best-known adaptation.
