I’ve Made 999 Limited Edition Prints Of This Work To Fund My Dream Of Studying Art In Florence
I’ve decided that I can no longer ignore my dreams of being an artist so I’ve begun a revolutionary act of rejecting every false notion that society has created about artists being unable to thrive. It has been the absolute opposite for me in fact – not doing art has made me extremely sick and unable to work. So I figure, why not make a living out of doing something I love, and fall in love with life?
My first stop is to study the classical foundations of art in Florence, so that I can integrate the techniques of the masters into modern, contemporary art. My aim as an artist is to merge the classical and contemporary worlds to produce art of the same standard as some of the modern greats – Salvador Dali and Picasso – who were classical technical masters themselves. I believe that learning the classical foundations of art is the secret to producing the greatest standard of art in any genre. I have therefore chosen to study at one of the last schools in the world to teach classical foundations in the traditions of the masters: The Russian Academy of Art in Florence.
