Is It Grass Or Is It Glass? The Making Of A Glass Lawn

Made from about 3000 individually made glass pins, this glass lawn is one of my largest projects yet.

I finished it in May of this year, and now I have made a ‘Making of…’ video. It took several months (on and off) to make this piece. I used dozens of different shades of green, all glass, and melted it onto metal wire.

The inspiration for this project came from the notion that ‘the grass is always greener on the other side’. This lawn does not need any cutting or watering. However, I would not attempt to walk on it……
