I was introduced to photographer Joseph Ford over 5 years ago when he was looking for someone to knit him some giant microbes. I happened to mention that I had just knitted a jumper that blended into a bus seat, the microbes were history and invisible jumpers were born!
Over the following years, we collaborated on increasingly wild and interesting projects. From a knitting perspective, the questions just kept coming. Which cable knit would best suit a plump rat? How many shades of pink do you need to make a convincing cherry blossom camouflage? Can you get some nice soft wall to blend Fat Boy Slim into a giant smiley? Are knitted trousers a thing?
I soon learned that you always say yes to every knitting challenge. The camouflage blossom and dog coat were the most difficult with up to 25 balls of wall dangling from the back of each piece, all needing to be twisted in with the next. It was a fiendish challenge but I was not to be beaten!
