Did you know that Rwanda has the most women in parliament worldwide? Or does no country have as many pizza eaters as Norway? David McCandless from InformationIsBeautiful.net has put together a map that reveals what countries are best at, and it will definitely raise a lot of eyebrows.
The data was collected from the World Bank, the United Nations, and other sources. It was then divided into nine categories (commodity, psychology, ecology, gastronomy, economy, nicety, humanity, technology, and nasty) and assigned to each state (excluding the tiny ones). It’s also worth mentioning that the values are either “mostly per capita” or “% of the population”. So, which No.1 shocked you the most?

South Africa is good at dying?? Well, excuse me but people all over the world have been dying for millions of years and they are also good at it, even old people are masters at it

Too many things out of context...and not all of it is understandable. Best "Spam" in my notion means least spam, but this does not seem to be the intention. And what about "Death" in South Africa? Obviously this is "best" at something negative, but what does it mean? Die youngest? Highest death in infants? Most painful death? While in general I like good infographics, this one brings up more questions than it informs and entertains. Actually, it would be much fun to learn about the background behind the facts. For example, I think Norway is best in “Pizza” because everyone buys loads of a frozen pizza called Grandiosa.

Why is the picture here different than the one from the source? it is the same month, year and version, yet it is different? the link provided after "More info" at the top, shows the source and South Africa is best at PLATINUM not death.

India is famous for Banana? So Taj Mahal and Huge number of Movies produced per year isn't?

It's not supposed to show what countries are famous for, but what they are good at. A lot of countries are indicating their relevant exports.
