I am really pleased with the overall outcome. This project aims for more mature audience (18 to 50), for a wider response. I want to understand how different generations are interpreting my work. I had viewers form: UK, USA, Romania, Turkey, Greece, France, Japan, Germany and many more.

I have used the public from the internet in order to help me out find some titles for my photographs. I wanted everyone to see something different and unique in my images. As well I have made a survey to help me understand what people think about different fruits and objects.

I began to understand that most of our fundamental beliefs about reality must be radically redefined. I have started to look around in other directions as well, and mixed with what I have already knew in order to create something new. Photography is a product of my personality at this moment. The images are illustrating the interior, because all my researches are based on my inner fights and questions. I chose my subjects carefully, only the ones that are touching my visual imagination.

For this project I cared less about what people around were saying, it was about following my passion.

‘’What Profesor Marcia Pointon calls art history may draw from many other disciplines which may aid the documentation, analysis and evaluation of visual material.’’ 1

I have looked at: solar explosions, deep galaxy, constructivism influence, integration of technology and industry into the arts, different dimensions, obsessions and fantasies, hidden figures and double meaning, relativity of collocations – good / bad; ugly / beauty, meditation, energy and how it is influence water, violence, memory and history.

I have expressed my individuality, concepts of life and stile through my photographs. I am totally honest with myself, my life and my art. I tried to approach the subject in it’s own way.

’’In Japanese gardens, composition follows from the placement of the first stone ; all elements and plantings become interconnected. ’’ 2

I have placed the elements in relation with the first by using design principles such as balance, contrast, shape, texture.

Zen Aesthetics comes form a meditative, calm and relaxed state of mind. The key to composing my still life is creativity. Every day is something different, a new and fresh start.

Of course, the golden rule was helpful as well, even though sometimes I particularly chose not to use it. I always have to test angles, play with the perspective, lighting, size, tipe of paper and so on.

If I was to change something it will be to do more abstract images by making the object to melt with the background (as I did with ’’ Deep Sea Far Away In The Galaxy’’). This is due to the responses that I got. People seem to be more visual attracted to those where you can not really see the edges of the objects.

I manage to keep the interest of the viewer by scanning the images and inversing them (negative and positive images). They work very well together as 2 versions of the same image (one on white and one on black background). Viewers perceived as having different meanings versions of images, their attention being directed to different objects.

B&W is gain by the number of gray shades existed between black and white. We are used to see in color, that is why our eves will perceive different non-color. I wanted to create different moods in my frames. I had to keep in mind the positive consumerism as well. For that I have used lemon and orange juice, Epson salt, painted with light, painted with developer and many others.

My images are speaking for themselves in the universal language, but everyone see it different because of the cultural background and artistic training.

’’It is said that the images are the food of the soul.’’ – “Dramatic black and white photography – shooting and dark room techniques”, by J.D. Hayward; Phublisher: Amherst Media, Inc. (Junly 1, 2000).

I never try to limit myself by theories. I do not question right or wrong approach when I work for a project. I do not fear logic. I dare to be irrational. ’’Selection is another way of arranging.’’ – Edward Weston

Because this project is abstract, surrealistic and conceptual I started to play with different colors (because I was curios) and added layers in Photoshop. I have learned to use more programs and develop my skills. My images could equally well have different color. Is just purely aesthetics, but I think I have managed to create different versions with unique impact.

Overall, the images are working really well. The images are complex and on different paper and shape.

As well, when I am working for a project, meditation helps me relax and clear my mind. It is well known that meditation is An escape from self-awareness; Decreased sense of pain; Alteration in bodily perception. It is well known that emotions and thoughts also create energy. I wanted to imprint my feelings and my way of seeing ’’the universe’’ around me.

You can not say my work is beautiful or ugly, because energy is unseen, yet powerful enough to be felt all around us. Everything is unique and different. By using nature elements in my images I underlined the abstract. Nature is abstract by it’s own definition.

Everyone should look through the eyes, not with them.

I am not willing to compromise my beliefs in order to be understood, liked or supported. The more I create, the more I have.
