‘Influencers In The Wild’ IG Account With 3.5M Followers Exposes How Silly They Look While Trying To Take 'Perfect' Pics (44 New Pics)
The modern world has a weird relationship with influencers. Some people love ‘em. Some hate ‘em. Others love to hate them (or hate that they love them). Whichever group you think you’re a part of, there’s little denying that influencers are here to stay in some shape or form for good. But they don’t lead the ‘perfect’ lives they want you to think they do. In fact, seeing how they act in their natural environment might just break every single illusion you ever had about them. That’s where the immensely popular ‘Influencers in the Wild’ Instagram account comes in.
The 3.5-million-follower-strong account is dedicated to collecting the quirky, goofy, and embarrassing side of influencers. Bored Panda wanted to learn more about the recent changes in the influencer industry, so we reached out to Brooke Erin Duffy, an associate professor at Cornell University who studies the intersection of media, culture, and technology. Read on for her insights!

I don't know who's worse? The Instagrammers or the people who follow them. Sure, I like looking at pictures as much as the next person, but there are some utter bellends who worship the ground these numpties walk on. "Slay queen..." my a*s.

i have mixed feelings about this post. sure, a lot of these are people acting kind of stupid (and some are incredibly wrong or disrespectful), but some of them are just funny things that got caught on camera. especially the ones where people get hit by a wave. plus, there are a lot of unnecessarily hateful comments. and the retaliations are also hateful. yes, more women are getting shamed, but that’s because 3/4 of the pictures are women! (TL;DR: influencers are bad, but stop shaming the pictures where people aren’t actually being stupid. i’m guessing some of these weren’t even influencers, just people trying to take pictures. nothing wrong with that.)

In way to much of them they are being dangerous and stupid and i dont think it should be encouraged. Teenagers vulnareble enough to follow an influencer might try these things.
