Amazon’s Life-Size Inflatable Speedboat Will Make You Feel Like A Millionaire

So, since summer is already here (sorry, Australians) it’s time to plan your weekend getaways with your best friends and family. But if you want to have some relaxing vacation time, it almost always comes at a price. Luckily, there are still ways to spend your holidays like royalty without losing all of your hard earned money. If you’re still not rich enough to get an actual speedboat (you’ll get there), you can spend this summer by replacing it with an inflatable one that is available on Amazon. Honestly, it’s just as good.
Turns out, Amazon sells a life-size inflatable speedboat

Not all of us can afford a yacht or a speedboat, but luckily, with the inflatable boat market booming, we can afford something that will definitely be fun, relaxing as well as a great option for you and all of your friends to enjoy a sunny day out in the lake.
This speedboat is designed to fit six people
The boat also includes an inflated rear swim platform, eight cup holders, an inflatable bench seat and five handles for easy mounting and dismounting.
And the best part, there is even a built-in cooler for your drinks so you could enjoy your day off even more.
The speedboat costs around $279.99
It also measures about 20 feet long x 10 feet wide and 3 feet tall.

So are we this double standards??? One post we are praising the efforts to cut down with plastic bags, the next post we are glorifying a gigantic floating piece of unrecyclable garbage that is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY!!!
I was going to say the same thing -- 60 pounds of plastic that will likely be used only a few times until it leaks and is thrown away.
In more concerned about Safety. How long until someone takes one out into deep water and gets into trouble? Also how long until someone thinks having a BBQ on one is a good idea? 😐
The air must be thin up on your pedestal there. Do you own more than one pair of shoes? Do you use up power needlessly by browsing frivolous blogs like this? The virtue signalling is incredible. Just because you waste in other ways doesn't mean you're right and people who want this are wrong. Get over yourself.
Shoes are a absolute necessity, this piece of crap isn't.
My shoes weigh around 12 ounces each or 1.5lbs for a pair. They are mostly leather rather than plastic, but asuming they were all plastic, that's around 40 pairs of shoes for the weight of this toy. Or around 80+ years worth of shoes (my current shoes shoes are 1.5 years old, and will likely live to be 3 or more, but will assume a 2 year life).
The difference is you throw away plastic bags but will not do the same with this boat.
So how much were BP paid for this ad?
Bezos has enough already! Amazon is one of the biggest tax avoiders on the planet, and I find no reason to have covert advertising for Amazon here.
On the one hand this is really cool. On the other hand, this is the epitome of a lack of sustainability. This thing will probably last a few seasons only...
