First, let me introduce myself. My name is Herri Susanto and I am from Bali, Indonesia.
I remember the first time I decided to learn about photo editing - it was about 5 years ago. At that time, I wanted to edit my daughter's photos. The most important thing to me was creating something different with the photoshopped images. So I bought a couple of books for learning Photoshop. And I am still constantly refining my Photoshop skills with tutorials from the Internet and Youtube.
Everything started solely as a hobby, but I already have had an opportunity to work with many brands on creative photos for their products. My photo manipulations are inspired by many great artists and their unique art such as Eric Johansson, Ted Chin, and many more. I really enjoy working with just a single, ordinary photograph and transforming it into a completely different, interesting photo.

When making these edits, I want to pour my imagination into photos and make something truly incredible. The time needed for one photo manipulation cannot be determined; sometimes it can be several hours, and sometimes it can take up to 3-4 days. It really just depends on the difficulty level and also depends on my mood too.

I like it, though. The absolute line of the water just adds to the whole aesthetic.
The hardest part of doing photo manipulation is finding new ideas, and by that, I mean ideas that are completely original to me. Sometimes I often experience creative blocks. Usually, if I experience a creativity block, I will take a break or take a vacation to refresh my mind and get some new inspiration.

Throughout all this time, working on all my photo manipulations made me really enjoy what I do. The process to me is pure pleasure because doing photo manipulation is my hobby.
I’d like to give a few tips for those of you who want to start learning photo manipulation. You can actually learn a lot from tutorials that already exist on the internet and more specifically on YouTube. Develop what you have learned in your own style. Make something new and never stop learning.

Similar to a dream I frequently had as a kid. My parents would park the car at the top of a step hill and say "Wait there, we'll just be a moment." And the handbrake would fail and the car would start screaming down the hill. I'd always wake before The Impact.
