I walk back in time again to the Medieval world using English churches as a time travelling window. Within a 10 miles radius of our Cotswolds home we learn about abandoned villages, the Black Death, Lychgates, and a medieval version of a PowerPoint presentation! Many are now some distance outside the modern day villages, abandoned because of plagues such as The Black Death and Bubonic Plague. I describe some of the history here:
