I Stayed Late To Capture The Faces Of Aircraft Maintainers Dedicated To Humanitarian Aid

I was assigned to document humanitarian relief efforts in Beira, Mozambique following deadly Cyclone Idai that left millions hungry, sick and displaced in March 2019.

While waiting for flight clearances in Maputo, I captured in-camera double exposures of the maintenance airmen who kept the planes flying during the humanitarian aid airlift.

My goal was to highlight both the aircraft and the faces of the hard-working men and women working tirelessly to deliver aid.
