My name is Marije and I'm a conceptual fine art photographer. Together with actor Jeroen Groothof Schröder I started a series of photos that shows the insecurities, self-doubts and the high standard of perfection of young adults.
We show the painful truth the world doesn't want to see, what millennials try to hide from the world, but what is actually still there.

Depression and insecurity is different for every person on this planet. Some people can pull through it while others lose the battle within themselves which usually ends badly for them and the people who love them. Shedding more light on these issues will hopefully help everyone as we travel down the road of time.
I think many of these are phenomenal. A few of them I didn't like so much, but it's true with lots of photo series that one is not going to like all of them.
I love that this is all men. It brings light to the fact that it's not solely women who have insecurities.
