I Shoot Photos Inspired By Japanese Anime

I’m Davide Sasso and my greatest passions are photography and animation, in particular Japanese animation is the one that is closest to my heart and that surely inspired me as a photographer.

I have just finished my project in which the colors, the composition and the mood are strongly inspired by Japanese anime.

I adore the films of Makoto Shinkai, especially “Your Name” and “The Garden od Words”. I must say, however, that his other films, such as “5cm Per Second” and “The Place Promised in Our Early Days” have been a great source of inspiration for me.

I love the colors, the frame composition and the mood that you can feel in those movies.

I tried to replicate all this in my photos, taken totally in Italy.

I would like to continue this project in Japan, perhaps recreating the most beautiful frames of the films!
