I Rescue And Care For Chickens In Paradise

My name is Julie and I am living my dream in South Africa. I live on a farm and care for all sorts of animals but I have one species in abundance. Chickens!

When we moved here little over a year ago, there were around 30 Chickens living in our garden. We already had a few of our own and I made a hobby out of it. I have rescued several flocks of chicks, chickens with disabilities and even a clutch of eggs. We let nature take its course as much as possible and allow them to feed off of the land and live a natural happy life.

I love to nurture and care for living beings. I think it is what I was put on this earth to do.

Chickens are such sweet creatures! People don't realize how genuinely affectionate birds can be.

I have tried countless times and in my experience, it is not. They have made Chicken Diapers for this reason. They are happiest and you can smell them less outside :)

I love this. I am reminded of my friend Ginger who takes in chickens that farms don't want or when people can't take care of them.

What an awesome job/life. And they probably have little issue with insects with that many birds around

My wife's parents have some chickens. Most time they life outside and can enjoy their free life. It's pretty interesting (and sometimes funny) to whatch them, plus their eggs taste a lot more intense then eggs from chicken who life inside and are only feed with crops.
