I spend my free time working in my experimental design studio LinesLab, where I program my robot Karel to draw portraits from photos. In a way I try to create a bridge between art and technology and follow great computational artist like Georg Nees and Frieder Nake that started to create artworks with plotters.
Here are two of the styles that Karel has mastered, a doodle like drawing in a single line a detailed drawing with over 100.000 individual lines.

Hey Sergej, I saw your work with single line drawings at www.boredpanda.com and liked it a lot. I would like to try to engrave one of your drawings with our lasercutter. Is it possible to get one as vector image? It's just for testing and non-commercial. What about the future of LineLabs? Your Shop is empty. May you give your algorithms sometime to the public?
