This odd series was inspired by the Instagram hashtag #stayhomestilllife, where flowers and beautifully curated objects had been photographed in the pristine homes of interior designers and art directors.

Living with a 3-year-old and being pregnant for the second time, my reality is very different. I used objects on the table after breakfast every day as a starting point for the still life, spending no more than 15 minutes each day. The series evolved with me using things around the kitchen and in response to the news and the search for my own identity.

I took the pictures with my iPhone and posted each day on my Instagram and it was joyful to me and others. Doing something daily really gave me an understanding of continuity, discipline, and creating with was available.
