Salt Lake City, a huge LEGO sculpture consisting of more than 8100 pieces and 841 columns, is the largest physical work ever made by Victor Masotti (AKA BrickBeads), a 16y/o artist originally from Italy and based in London since 2015. This sculpture is the representation of sine waves generated digitally with code and software on physical form, perfectly depicting Masotti’s practice involving generative code-based art, geometry, colors and the human error. As a consequence, the sculpture is impacted by his systematic and impulsive behavior, producing an astonishing colorful result that stands out and sets LEGO as a major art/design form.
