OUGHT TO PUT A PIECE OF FINISHED WOOD ON TOP TO FINISH IT OFF. THINGS CAN FALL THRU. IN THIS HOUSE THEY WOULD TOO! :) WE ARE NOT THAT CAREFUL YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL PUTTING STUFF DOWN ON IT. GOOD TO USE STUFF LIKE THAT. RECYCLING IS GOOD!

Hi Mary The finished table had a sheet of bevelled glass on top. Maybe not clear from the photograph.
