Growing up, I was always coached by my mother to appreciate the flora and fauna around me. That’s why despite living in of the densest, most crowed cities on earth ,Dhaka city, I’ve always had close memories and connections with flowers. These connections keep surfacing on my canvas and remind me how important it is to not lose touch with nature. These are my takes on some of the flowers I grew up with.
I tried mentioning the English names if I know and the English pronunciation of the Bangla names of the flowers. Enjoy!
