I Hacked My Old Iphone Camera To Shoot Super Macro

Just before throwing out an old CD drive I decided to harvest the parts and use them to allow my old iPhone camera to “see” much closer than it already could.

After the transformation, I fell back in love with taking pictures with my smartphone again and began snapping close up shots of random insects etc. The following pictures were taken with the new lens attached on the very first day.

This hack can easily be removed for regular pictures and takes very little technical skill to do. Give it a try!
