I Create Mesmerizing Images Of Gemstones That Look Like Otherworldly Objects
I am a Photographic Artist from Ireland and I created these images from my own collection of polished gemstones. I was a bit of an amateur geologist as a child, I would collect beautiful mineral specimens, label and store them for my own archive.
Now in my 20’s, I was sorting through a box of my old childhood things when I came across my old collection. However my collection now seemed silly, why was I so impressed by these gemstones?
So I decided to combine my new passion for photography with my childhood passion for geology in an attempt to reignite an old burned out flame… and here are the results.
