Sexism can manifest itself in ways that are serious or minor, outrageously offensive or so normalized that you don't even recognize it. But as countless women around the world can tell you, it's there.

In an attempt to show the internet just how imbalanced gender relations can be, the Facebook page "Humans of Patriarchy" is sharing memes, testimonies, and all sorts of other content that exposes the ugly side of today's society. And it appears to be working — as of this publication, the online project has over 415K followers.

As a man, I'd never survive as a woman & wouldn't want to. For the most part, it's a s****y taken for granted job. There's no way in hell I could go thru everything they do to be accepted as people. The expectations are ridiculous. constant maintenance would be unbearable with makeup, shaving legs & pits, having kids & a mate to have to take care of, in many cases without help while working, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry etc etc.No thanks! I'd last less than a week & beg to be a man again. Oh, I forgot about periods & PMS which are the dangerous times for men. That's when 1 day she's on the roof of the house with a high-powered rifle yelling "GET BACK IN THE GOD DAMNED HOUSE! & you better listen because she's ready for war. After that passes, all is well in the jungle & back to normal for the next 28 days until...

Actually marriage is extremely sick because of the myths passed from generation to generation of mothers to daughters telling them how great it'll be having a family & a husband who will love you until death do you part. Those vows of marriage are some of the most twisted expectations of what marriage is, compared to reality. It's no wonder that more than 50% of marriages end in divorce given the expectations assigned to it. You must stay together for the sake of the kids. Being in a miserable relationship until the kids are gone is obviously the right thing to do & expected by the rest of your family or you're terrible people who will burn in hell. There really should be a requirement for pre-marriage counseling to actually learn the realities rather than the fairytales that trap us in our youth. Then, If you screw it up as adults, you knew the rules beforehand & were too inept to do it properly & it's no one's fault but your own.

Actually, none of that is true. What's the 1st thing someone sees when they look at you & judge you? Your personality? Your intellect? Obviously your physical appearance. It's an unfortunate fact but there it is. The thing about "beautiful people" is that they were lucky enough to have beautiful parents. Otherwise, they'd be no more beautiful than the rest of us.

I think she may be reading too much into this one. We're not all the same and it's okay/good to be different. I think it's a red flag if you're offended by the idea of being different. I also feel like she might be the type to convince you to leave a good relationship. Then she'll get a mediocre man and leave you by yourself.
