According to Know Your Meme, the 'how it started vs. how it ended' meme was first posted on September 23, 2020, when Twitter user Vjillanelles shared their relationship evolution. So in meme years, it's like 127 or so. However, it is still going strong. Mostly because of how versatile it is.

@everyone saying he sprouted a spot on the left side, one photo is a selfie, the other is a standard one. That means, it could still be the same dog, only opposite sides.
A lot of these memes focus on the recoveries neglected animal went through after finding their forever homes. Which is great. Caring for a companion animal goes far beyond providing food, water, and shelter. So seeing people putting in the effort to make the critters enjoy life is really awesome.

I LOVE border Collies . They are my favourite dog breed and I am lucky to have a rescue Border Collie myself. It is soul destroying to see one in this horrendous condition. I cannot thank you enough for rescuing this beautiful dog. You are in for a lifetime of love fun and happiness. You both deserve a long and happy life together. Good luck to both of you.

Ok so she has had the doggo from a puppy. My question is why have you docked its ears? That is cruel and makes the dog look more aggressive than it is. It's disgusting ANYONE who loves their pet would do that. If it was a rescue and done by someone cruel for fighting then I would accept it. But not this.

For those who missed it, a woman who was apparently under the influence of drugs threw this puppy at a man she was harassing. The pup cried, likely more scared than hurt, but it was heart wrenching. He kept the dog. It was a previous post on Bored Panda, just search BP for 'woman throws puppy' and you'll find it.

Larry, the chief mouser at 10 Downing street, started out as a shelter cat at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. From humble beginnings to residing at the Prime Minister's house. Not a bad deal at all.

I understand not everyone can afford the same level of care (annual vet checks, grooming, premium food, toys and walks etc.) for their chosen pet, but there are a lot of people out there who definitely need to do better!
