There are a lot of small lakes in Hungary, and one is located at Fehervarcsurgo – this is also a water storage. Its south side is surrounded by some higher hills, covered with a forest, which makes it look like place in the Alps. The southern side is closed with a dam with a cotrol buildng, and the direction of the sunset is perfect when viewed from the dam, or from the southern hills. Seemed to be a perfect location to visit :)
I planned to arrive before the sunset, to have time to climb up to the hill on the southern side, and after it, take some shots on the top of the dam. No surprise, that i missed the direction, and tried to climb up from a wrong path, therefore i arrived on a luckily discovered forest road to the top of the dam – in the end of the sunset :D
No matter, as the scene was beautiful – except the electric wires which are right over the lake, but there were many views to take shots of the lake without the wires. (I removed the wires from one picture – i really don’t remove things from picture, but this worth it :) ) There is a path around the lake, and some up to the hills (i tried to climb, but also a bad way – i almost couldn’t get down from there :D )
Anyway, this was a good choce to check the lake, as the sunset was beutiful, and i discovered a place for calm walks. Next time i try to shot some night images or climb to the hills at the dam…
