Well, we are THEIR pets after all...

I am a late riser but since a few weeks, my pet has started playing WWE with me. He wakes up early, climb up to the window next to my bed and jumps on me till the time I wake up. I am no more a late riser now!

Around 4:30 most every morning my cat meows and paws my head constantly until I get up walk to the bedroom door. He thinks he's going to be let outside. He excitedly leaves the room, and I shut the door and go back to sleep. I know, I'm a bad mom. I really do feel bad when I wake up.

that is the way my cat is. right around 8:30 she starts screaming at me until I pick her up and put her in bed and snuggle with her.

My cat was like this with my sons. He would come out to the living room and meow, getting more insistent if we ignored him, until the boys would troop off to bed. Just. To. Please. The. Cat.

I have been herded to bed myself so I totally understand. Amazing how stubborn a 15 pound cat can be.

It's actually better to avoid all the drama and angst, just go to bed. Sneak out later.

Same here but a dog that will yawn until one of us goes to bed and he will growl if we touch him or even talk to him because he wants to go to sleep. If we get up he will too and boy is he cranky.

I've had pets like that! Dogs and cats - and they fuss and fuss and fuss until you give up.

It's the same at our house, we could be watching a film but, no it's the cat's bedtime so therefore it's also ours !!

She's not alone! My cats do this, too. One sleeps in the crook of my arm all night and starts crawling on me a few minutes before bed every night as if to say, "ok, it's bed time!". Their internal clock is impressive.

Seriously though, I thought only my cat was doing this. We literally cannot pass the 11 o'clock mark he gave us, around 10:30, he starts meowing loudly and guide us to bedroom and we do whether we want to sleep or not because he just won't give up. Our friends and family know that by now so when they visit, they leave before 11 pm, or the cat thinks they will stay and raises hell meowing at them, too, trying to make them go to bed in time.

Aww I would do anything for my kitties

My cat every night. He waits for me on the bed and gives me the evil eye if I happen to walk into the bedroom. It's a nice excuse to go to bed early though, 'he's waiting for me!'

Only one option left: slaughter the cat
