Who else dares to hike this? Haiku Stairs a very popular bucket list attraction also known as the Stairway to Heaven is located in Oahu, Hawaii. This hike has been closed to the public, but is still very popular to those dare deviled individuals. Although, you’ll get amazing views of the island, it’s not safe to hike this 3,922 staircase and risk your life. A powerful storm passed over the island of Oahu in February 2015 which caused significant damage to the stairway, causing them to be very unstable. After the storm, there has been reported incidents where hikers were stuck and trapped overnight and had to be rescued. Haiku Stairs has been closed since 1987, and is mostly guarded and those who are seen going up can be cited for trespassing. Enter at your own risk.
