When it comes to weddings and brides, each culture has a different tradition. In western countries, for example, people wear traditional white dresses. In India - brides wear pink or red wedding dresses. As for the Muslim brides, they wear beautiful veils called hijabs.
On their wedding days, Muslim women wear a range of beautiful hijabs, including ones with jewels and gems. Below, Bored Panda has put together a list of beautiful hijabs worn by brides. Take a look and don't forget to vote for your favorites!

Hijab is not an outfit. Its a set of requirements for Muslim men and women in their dressing and demeanour. Also while this Indian its also not a saree. Muslims come in all different cultures and adapt their culture to the religious requirements. Have a look at the way Muslims dress across the world, not just the Arab world.

Absolutely gorgeous in its 'simplicity' (compared to the other stunning gowns!).
Those women could wear tarantulas on their heads and still look fabulous
Why? I wore the same style on my wedding .. and I was smiling too :)
Load More Replies...I have nothing against or for the this religion. But I think that we are no longer to prey for males of all countries and religions. Men must respect women and not make law, rules or whatever to control us Women. We too have a skills and a brain that works as well if not better than theirs! How many men can do two things at a time? Women can and do it all the time. Men want control over our bodies for one very simple reason, we bare the children, there for men want to control our bodies and minds.
THAT DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's quite a contradiction that they cover up hijab but let the dress hide nothing... Lovely dress and girl anyway.
Cover you hair, but show off your figure defeats the purpose of covering the hair!
its a stunning blue.. I never thought there could be a blue wedding dress
So beautiful in its simplicity, no beads, no lace, just a woman wearing a dress. I'd wear this, no problem :) I love the cape!
U are one Bored (not to mention pathetic) being. What were you hoping for with this comment?
could do without the nose ring, and too busy for me, you can barely see the brides face
This isn't hijab. This is traditional in many African countries and has nothing to do with Islam....
Xhosa, Zulu, Sothos, are also wearing it as traditional head wear or a traditional hat.
Load More Replies...Beautiful bride. I especially love the mix of vibtant colors of clothing- of the bridal party/family
Beautiful hijab ... One note to the photographer ... Make sure to remove any dust pans and brooms before the photo shoot.
These clothes are soo heavy, I am a photographer and I was doing this shoot for a make up studio a while back and I had to actually hold one part of their dress just for them to stand and not break their necks.. Holy hell that head piece is so beautiful but also so heavy.. on whole the bride wears about 15 kilos of clothes..
Abby, I keep seeing ? from you. Are you confused?
Load More Replies...Jeez. All these women are wearing so much makeup! I mean, I get it, it's your wedding day. But man. All I see is eyeshadow & eyeliner.
I think it's another cultural aspect. In many parts of the world it's just another way to make your look elaborate for such an important day.
Load More Replies...It is contacts (the colour) Either way it's the shape of her eyes that makes it so differently unique. :)
Load More Replies...To me it looks like she thinks he's stealing the show! 😂
Load More Replies..."You're supposed to look at ME!"
Load More Replies...this is beautiful, but..in Islam from that i know we should not wear any clothes reveal the shape of the body :) So it's just not covering over their body it has to be loose clothing. Sorry if i wrong :)
Maybe she doesn't practise Islam and just wanted to incorporate the hijab style to her wedding outfit :)

Not only Nigerians wear it, and in other West African cultures that practice Islam it is used as a form of Hijab. There are Nigerian Muslims as well.
Load More Replies...Hijab just means head scarf or veil, so yes, she's wearing a Hijab.
Load More Replies...She beautiful. Photographer should've chosen a different background. She sorta fades into it.
This pgotoshop in the left hurts my eyes. But she is indeed beautiful
For the people who keep trolling on all the West African photos. Different cultures practice different variations of hijab. Stop assuming it's one thing just cause it's called that where you are from, Africa is a huge continent, and West Africa is home to many countries, cultures, and religions. It might be a gele to you, yet in Guinea, Gambia, Mali, etc. where there are large Muslim populations; women do use this as a form of hijab/turban. So yes, this can be a form of hijab depending on what culture/religion the couple practices.
Hijab does not make them prettier or uglier. Neither does their religion. They are all just happy young girls in posh wedding dresses.
No, it does not but their hijabs are breath taking and make them unique among all the typical white wedding dresses we are used to seeing.
Load More Replies...Very unique and exquisite bridal garb no matter which religion is practiced!
They are also very beautiful! If you choose to cover your hair that is your prerogative although I believe it should not be forced.
When I read the title I thought: why should they not look beautiful? I guess, in most cultures that celebrate weddings as a special day at least the soon to be spouse would agree that his (or her, if possible in that culture) bride looks beautiful, if not stunning. The title by itself is also provocative considering the recent discussion in Europe, particularly in France. I am not sure if weddings and a political message are a good combination.
Your last comment made no sense. These women are celebrating their special day by wearing what makes them happy.
Load More Replies...All the brides were simply beautiful, the colors were amazing and the ladies were elegant and regal.
Every one of these women - gorgeous, glowing, happy, as every bride should be on her special day- The Media needs to stop using Religion, skin color, sexual orientation, the political stick to stir '$h!t'
It's so sad that Muslims think that they need to hide the beautiful hair that God gave them. 1 Corinthians 11:15 "And isn't long hair a woman's pride and joy?"
Why quote the bible when when it isn't their religion? Historically, Eve Christian women covered their hair what's the problem?
