I Planted This Small Tree Over A Dozen Years Ago; Styrax Japonicus, Japanese Snowbell, Japanese Styrax, Silver Bells. It Has Pretty Much The Most Lovely Scent I've Ever Smelled. Although Official Descriptions Say "Slightly Fragrant" I Find This Was Not True, For Me Anyway. In The Short 5-10 Days It Is In Bloom I Can Smell It 20' Away At Dawn, Then Fragrance Fades As The Day Warms. Descriptions Also Say Moist Soil, Blah, Blah, Mine If In Gravely Poor Quality Soil On A Dry Slope. I Only Watered It The First Year To Give A Good Start
My Volunteer Beautiful Carolina Crinum Lily, Gave Me 5 Stalks Of Blossoms This Year. A Record. This Is The Last Stalk, 3 Opened One Day And 3 The Next. Blossoms Only Last 2 Days, So I Was Able To Finally Get A Pic Of All Looking Fresh. As The Others Opened 2 At A Time!
