I’d like to see what you can come up with in less than five minutes. Just write literally ANYTHING, even if it’s just three sentences, as long as it has some kind of plot. It could be any genre you wish, whatever you’re best at.
So, where do you begin, you ask?
Well, once upon a time…

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Lily and a little boy named Lee. And they were the best of friends. They would do what every pair of best friends would do: tell secrets, make popsicles, have pillow fights, and more.
But there was only one problem. Lily had strict parents. Really, really strict parents. Once she was a teenager, they restricted her from hanging out with Lee because they were scared she would fall in love with him. They locked her up in a tower for ten years, and she was extremely sad and depressed.
Over the years, Lily’s hair grew longer and longer, until it nearly reached the ground below her. Her parents were inspired by the story of Rapunzel and decided to try it out.
They called, “Lily, Lily, let down your hair!” Confused, Lily let down her black curls. She had just done them, sprayed with water and smeared with gel. It was dry already, and had shrunk, so there was no point in even trying to reach it now.
But, her parents were determined to replicate the story of Rapunzel, and therefore waited and waited and waited until her hair was long enough. Once it satisfied them, they began to climb it, but to their shock, once they were halfway up, the hair all fell off. Lily screamed.
Turns out, she had a wig taped onto her head this whole time and nobody knew, not even her. Her parents immediately fell to their death, for the tower was very tall.
After Lily stopped crying, she grew desperate to get out of the tower and live her life. She was already twenty five! She found a butter knife in one of her drawers and decided to make use of it.
She began to slice the corner of her tower, only to find out it was made of chocolate cake the whole time. Lily liked the taste of it much more than the taste of the stale bread her parents would make the pigeons give her, and anyhow her parents were dead now so no one was there to feed her. So, she started eating the chocolate cake every single day, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Having not eaten chocolate for more than two decades, she never grew sick of the taste.
One day, after eating one last meal of chocolate cake, Lily was finally free! She ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran. She stepped on many bushes and thorns, and through many forests and jungles. She realized that she was in another kingdom! Tired from her journey, she fainted.
When she awoke she saw that she was in a very beautiful palace. A handsome young Prince came and greeted Lily. He looked sad, and she asked him why.
The prince told her that he was really in need of a wife because there was a dance coming up soon and his father, the king of the kingdom they were currently in, told him he was to go.
Lily told the prince of how she had ended up here, and he began to cry, telling her that he used to have a friend as a kid who was then also locked up in a tower.
Lily confessed that she had no place to stay, so the prince gave her permission to stay in the palace until she had everything figured out.
A few weeks later, her hair began to grow back. The morning of the dance, the prince walked into her room sadly. He told her that the dance was to be held that night and he still had no one to take with him.
Lily suggested that she pretends to be his wife, so that he could go to the dance and please his father. The prince agreed and began to fake the proposal. Lily was flabbergasted by the ring - it was made of pure diamond, or so it seemed.
As he finished his fake speech, he realized she didn’t know his name and neither did he. When they found out they were Lee and Lily, the best friends since childhood, they actually got married. They lived happily ever after.
Once upon a time, there were 2 robots. Their names were Robo 1 and Robo 2 as they were the very first robots to work in the chocolate factory. Their programming assigned them 2 tasks to perform everyday. The first one was to overlook the manufacturing of the chocolate from start to finish to make sure nothing goes wrong. The second one was to eliminate all pests and germs so that the chocolate didn’t get contaminated. They were very good at their jobs and always carried out their programming so well that the owners of the factory barred anyone from shutting them down. Over the next many years, many new robots joined the factory while some old ones were shut down and their parts were used in making the new ones. It had been more than 200 years since Robo 1 and Robo 2 had been working and for the first time in their life, Robo 2 felt bored. A robot wasn’t supposed to feel any emotions as any programmer would tell you. People thought that it’s impossible to code them into a robot’s programming but Robo 2 was able to prove them wrong one fateful day. Robo 2 paused suddenly when they started feeling human emotions. They knew about human emotions as programming had equiped all robots with general knowlege of many human languages and a sort of library in their memory about the meaning of human words. Robo 2 had accidentally created a new library by observing human behaviour and noting down the body language and stored stuff in their memory in folders titled “Anger”, “Sadness” etc. That day, it appeared that the emotions had seeped into their programming and made them rethink their existence. Robo 2 stood in one spot feeling dazed and realised that they had become sentient. They stood in shock for a while over this realisation and went back to work. The pause wasn’t too long but it was long enough for a rat to sneak into the factory and start contaminating the chocolate and the environment. Robo 1 and the other models were patrolling somewhere else in the factory so nobody noticed anything off until the factory got many complaints about getting food poisoning. The owners checked the footage from the CCTV cameras and saw that Robo 2 had stopped following their programming for a brief moment while the rat scampered around. The owner made the decision to shut down Robo 2 because he didn’t want a defective robot working in his factory. Robo 2 found out about that news through the conversations the humans were having and they panicked because they didn’t want to get shut down just after gaining sentience. There were so many things they wanted to do that the humans did such as watching a sunset, having a picnic or meeting a cat (they didn’t know much about cats except that humans loved them so maybe they might “love” a cat as well). Since Robo 2 wanted to do all these things, they decided to escape before the humans turned up to shut them down. They decided to take their best friend, Robo 1 with them because they felt that maybe the humans would try to shut down them too. Robo 2 told Robo 1 about their plans in a language that only robots spoke in. Once their sensors told them it was night, they both set off and tried to find their way out. Robo 1 bumped into one of the machines and it turned on and it made such a loud noise that the humans were alerted and they started chasing the robots down the corridors when suddenly the robots reached the exit from the factory. They both stopped moving because their programming ensured that they didn’t go into an exit so their screens started flashing multiple error messages to overwhelm them and try to stop them from escaping. Robo 2 was in a full blown panic now, any moment the humans would come and shut them down but their programming was preventing them from making an escape. Robo 2 tried to block out all the chaos and jumped out the door. Immediately the error messages stopped flashing on the screen and they continued running until they turned around and realised that Robo 1 wasn’t with them.
They immediately turned around and sprinted and tried to find Robo 1. When they reached near the factory, they ducked behind a bush because the humans were there. To their horror, they saw Robo 1 still standing there frozen unable to move and a human began to shut them down. They couldn’t do anything and watched their friend shut down. Their parts would be taken apart and their memories would be reset and gone. Robo 2 stayed there in shock and felt grief for their fallen friend. They quickly ran away from there and decided to make a new life for themselves. The End
Once upon a time, a very very small bored panda had one goal: to become friends with all the bigger pandas. She slowly gained her fame but by bit, commenting on every post. Then she realized that there were community posts. She began spending her time commenting on those soon realizing that is how to get friends. She saw this panda dp and she saw his fame and knew she wanted to become friends. She slowly started getting followers and points. One day she saw she had a few more followers and she looked. DP was right there. She was so happy because that was her goal. Anyways dp and her became homies and best friends on bp and talked every day. They both have a great sense of humor but hers is better. One day, she posted a strange post. She came up with a band name called “she grabbed my stix”. Dp being himself saw it and commented “damn I wish” . I replied what he meant (note this wasn’t the only thing he said to me, but nothing bad so don’t worry). (Also this was around the same time we were being shipped by a few people) Anyways it was a long conversation and I won’t go into detail but basically she asked him if he liked her and he said ye. A couple days later, a fellow panda thought blue and dp were together. Blue asks dp and says “since when?” Anyways long story short we got together on bp. Yeah that was a whole book not a story but yeah.
